East Side Forum on Medicaid Funding & Healthcare Inequities

More than 7 million New Yorkers rely on Medicaid as their primary health insurance – many of whom are people of color. Chronic underfunding of Medicaid limits access to services, results in poor health outcomes and creates health inequities for communities of color. Inadequate funding leaves hospitals and nursing homes in our WNY community at risk of closure.
New York state must close the funding gap to save struggling hospitals and nursing homes, prevent cuts to maternal care and mental health services, and protect low-income seniors, children, families and people with disabilities.
Join community, religious and labor leaders for a discussion of New York State’s Medicaid funding gap.
