Update on closures around Kaleida Health

Kaleida’s ongoing service closures have created deep concern across our hospitals, but workers, patients, and community allies have shown extraordinary solidarity in the fight to protect essential care. CWA 1168 used every tool available—public pressure, testimony, media outreach, and engagement with elected officials—to highlight access gaps and push for accountability. While closures remain painful, our unity and collective action continue to be our greatest strength in defending quality care and safe working conditions.
