CHS Bargaining Update

Contract negotiations between CWA and Catholic Health are ongoing, with slim chances of reaching an agreement by the June 30th expiration date. The union has selected Mercy Hospital’s bargaining units to expire for maximum impact and pressure. If no deal is reached, a 1-month mediation period will follow, and a strike vote may be held for Mercy members—but a YES vote does not automatically trigger a strike. The union continues to meet with members and will provide ongoing updates.

Open bargaining starts June 16th, we are doing 2 week increments.
