Important Training Opportunities for Healthcare Workers: 1199SEIU Training Fund Support
Are you in need of completing your New York State-mandated Child Abuse Identification & Reporting and/or Infection Control Trainings? The 1199SEIU Training Fund is here to help! Eligible members can access these essential courses at no or reduced cost.
What’s Available?
The Training Fund provides two pathways to help you meet these requirements:
1. RELIAS Online Platform
• Access both Child Abuse Identification & Reporting and NYS Infection Control trainings online.
• Eligible members can sign up for a free RELIAS account through the Training Fund.
• Members have 90 days of access with no out-of-pocket costs.
2. Community Classes
• Take in-person or virtual classes in your community.
• Get reimbursed up to $1,000 per calendar year for the cost of the course.

Eligibility Requirements
To qualify for this support, members must:
• Be employed in an eligible bargaining unit position.
• Work for a Training Fund-contributing employer for at least 90 days.
• Be a Full-Time Employee or a Part-Time Employee working 3/5 of full-time hours (pro-rated support at 80% for part-time employees).
