CHS Bargaining Update #13

We’ve reached tentative agreements on several important articles impacting St. Joe’s RN, Service, and Technical members. Highlights include:

  • Student and Preceptor Protections: CHS agreed students will be scheduled at least 2 weeks in advance and clarified that employees in orientation or precepting won’t be assigned students.
  • Orientation Improvements: Part-time orientation will be extended until fully completed. Union reps can be present if there’s a need for extended orientation.
  • New Articles: Agreements were reached on NYS Paid Prenatal Leave and Workforce Management Implementation, forming a new joint committee.
  • Committee Work: Tentative agreements include language updates to the Workload and Staffing Committee to reflect current practice

We continue to fight for a fair contract and will provide further updates as progress continues.
