Bargaining Update: We're Standing Together For A Fair Contract !

Our joint 1199SEIU & CWA Local 1168 bargaining committee has been hard at work preparing for our 2025 contract negotiations. After reviewing member survey results, we are ready to take our top priorities to the table:

✅ No Concessions – We won’t accept any rollbacks on the hard-won wages, benefits, and working conditions we’ve fought for.

✅ Safe Staffing – Chronic staffing shortages continue to put patients and workers at risk. We will not leave the table without solutions!

✅ Wages & Retention – Kaleida must offer competitive wages and benefits to recruit and keep dedicated employees.

✅ Job Security – We’ve seen attempts to cut costs by changing job titles and reducing pay. Protecting our jobs is a top priority.

✅ Health & Safety – Workplace violence is on the rise. We demand stronger contract language to protect our members.

✅ Dignity & Respect on the Job – Low morale and poor treatment must be addressed. Every worker deserves respect in the workplace.

TODAY IS THE FIRST DAY OF BARGAINING: March 4, 2025, at 9:00 AM at 1199SEIU (2421 Main St, Suite 100, Buffalo, NY). Bargaining will take place on Tuesdays & Fridays throughout March.
